| Runaway Bay is the first major stretch of beach north of St. John's. Considering the location, it is surprisingly quiet. It's not nearly as developed or crowded as I expected it to be. The Barrymore Beach Club, where I spent a few nights, is towards the north end of the bay. The BBC is within easy walking distance of the The Riviera Casino and a couple of night clubs. All of the beaches along Runaway Bay and Dickenson Bay face west, giving you great views of the sunset. |
