| This airport was a pleasure to use. It's relatively small and quiet. There are no lines at ticket counters, car rental counters, or even at customs. The airport gives visitors two accurate first impressions of Antigua: 1) it's a laid back, low key, island, and 2) the architecture is out of the 1960's. By the way, Vere Cornwal Bird is the former prime minister of Antigua. He is known as the 'Father of The Nation'. One of his son's, Lester, is the current prime minister. (Thanks to Bruce Riddel for that correction to my original text). |
